Pace4G

Pace4G  is an advanced radio propagation algorithm that is used for the coverage estimation in wireless networks. It is mainly used in the frequency range 30MHz-6GHz.

It is a multi-resolution product that includes various components which are based on 2D and 2.5D and 3D methodologies.

The 3D method is based on ray-tracing techniques and it is only applicable in those sites where high-resolution map data information is available.

The 2.5D release applies to long ranges (more than 1km from the base station). It also applies at any location where 3D vector data is not available.

In all cases, the implementation is fully deterministic accompanied only by a small number of empirical approximations. Pace4G estimates both outdoor and outdoot-to-indoor (ground level) coverage.

All the above components are applied simultaneously with seamless inter-operability. All processes run automatically to avoid any subjective inputs that could lead to erroneous predictions.

The tool is also incorporated to various radio planning tools and there is both a Win32 and a Unix version of this software tool.
